EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM:

POSITION SUMMARY:
If you are interested in improving the lives of children, have experience in child welfare issues, social work or volunteer management and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, the Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) Program can provide that opportunity. The FCRB Program Specialist provides professional level recommendation reports to the Juvenile Court Judges, as well as maintains professional relationships with various child welfare stakeholders and the public.

The selected candidate will facilitate citizen review boards which review the cases of children in out-of-home care. This position is responsible to prepare, and schedule assigned cases; provide notice to interested parties; coordinate the exchange of information during each review, develop, prepare and distribute the recommendation report for the court and all interested parties; recruit potential board members; develop professional relationships with case managers, board members and other community service providers; State Board and community outreach / recruitment duties as assigned.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in public administration, court administration, social science or a related field and two years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent. Other requirements include superior verbal and written communication skills and adeptness in performing multi tasks are essential; knowledge of the Arizona laws, policies and procedures pertaining to foster care and the operation of the Foster Care Review Boards; knowledge of the Arizona Department of Child Protective Services policies and procedures. Statewide overnight travel required.

Travel level: up to 10%.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Only applicants whose backgrounds most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to interview. This is a Regular, Full-time, non-exempt position.
