POSITION SUMMARY:
 

The Information Technology Division (ITD) of the Arizona Supreme Court is seeking a Senior SQL Database Developer.  This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining court business applications.  Selected candidate will have strong SQL Server, TSQL SSIS and SSRS skills. The candidate should be highly proficient in working with large databases and have hands on experience with optimizing queries and performance tuning. 

Working under the direction of the technical lead, architect and model data structures to fulfill the technical needs of our business vision.  Develop reusable data models and leverage existing data models to minimize the time and effort in data replication.   Perform in-depth data analysis, modeling, and administration tasks on complicated data sets with complex data integration scenarios.  Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.  Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs.    This position will be responsible for managing the partitioning and tuning of the database tables.

This position will establish, maintain and support SQL databases. Will be responsible to develop SSIS, SSRS and SQL scripts based on requirements, then unit test all developed code.  Will follow project methodology as promoted by the Project Management Office.  Will work with team in the planning and implementation of the developed database solution from development to deployment into a production environment. 

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.  Will work with other database developers, business analysts and API developers to review database coding techniques, best practices and tool sets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years’ experience programming, analysis, design, development, implementation, quality assurance and applications support. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. This position requires experience identifying and implementing infrastructure improvements with a focus on SQL database, experience with MS SQL Server: T-SQL; SSIS; SQL Server Agent, Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio; experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) programs, experience with Data Modeler Tools, ER Studio database preferred, and experience with using SQL Server partitioning for performance and data archiving. This position also requires experience in packaging database changes and SSIS projects to be deployed to test and production environments by Operations, experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar tool, experience identifying and implementing infrastructure improvements with a focus on SQL database, excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and experience with writing and troubleshooting SSIS packages. In addition, this position n=must understand how to deploy SSIS projects using SQL 2017 Integration Services Catalogs. Which include using parameters variables, environments and SQL Agent jobs.
