POSITION SUMMARY: 
It is the responsibility of the Foster Care Review Board to review the case of every child in the state who is in out-of-home care and the subject of a dependency petition.  More than 100 boards, each comprised of five citizens, review the progress that is being made and advocate for the safety, stability, and permanency of foster children.

This position provides staff administrative support to Foster Care Review Boards statewide and facilitates the review process mandated by state statute. It is the responsibility of this position to perform a variety of tasks to support the programís mission.  These tasks include: generating invitations to attend reviews, preparing case material for the citizens who are on the board,  updating the data base with case information, checking in parties who are attending reviews, taking statements from interested parties, facilitating a board and crafting recommendations that are forwarded to the Juvenile Court, and other duties as assigned.  This position combines administrative and facilitation duties that enhance advocacy for foster children.     

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have training and experience equivalent to a Bachelorís degree, as well as considerable knowledge of English, grammar, and punctuation skills.  This individual must also have a demonstrable track record of reliability and excellent performance in an administrative setting.  This role requires someone with strong computer and people skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of time-sensitive work.  This individual must also have effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with the public, court staff, and agency professionals.  The preferred candidate will have knowledge of Arizona laws, policies and procedures pertaining to foster care and the operation of the Foster Care Review Boards, the Arizona Department of Child Safety and Juvenile Courts.

Travel level: negligible.
