The Court Operations Unit of the Court Services Division provides limited and general jurisdiction courts services and assistance in the form of standardized operational procedures, court evaluations, court financial assistance, training, resources and providing solutions to court operational questions.

Under the direction of the Court Operations Unit Manager, this position conducts reviews of court operations in Arizona courts and evaluates court operations in terms of compliance to law, court rules, administrative orders, and written policy. Upon analyzing and summarizing the collected data, the Court Operations Specialist prepares court operational review reports, detailing the findings and recommendations for improving court operations. Other duties include documenting courts’ actions that are addressed in the court operational review reports, including a final compliance response to the courts, providing training on court operational findings to court community, and other duties as assigned.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer. 

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Judicial Administration or a related field and three years’ experience in court operations and/or performance or financial audits or a related field. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Additional requirements include: excellent analytical and report writing skills; excellent formal interviewing and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of court policies, procedures, and operations; ability to analyze statistical data and derive conclusions from the analysis; and ability to understand and interpret legislation, rules, administrative orders, policies, and procedures.

Travel level: up to 25%.
