POSITION SUMMARY:
The Arizona Supreme Court is a nationally recognized leader for its innovative court programs; its Certification & Licensing Division is responsible for the development and administration of professional regulation programs that serve as models for other states. This Division seeks a motivated, detail-oriented person to fill the role of Assistant and work side-by-side with other Assistants who support the work and programs of our Division. This position provides exposure to the judicial process, judicial staff and the court community. As a member of the Divisionís support team, this individual provides high level administrative services to all programs within the Division. This position provides customer service and communicates with staff, judges, the court community and the general public regarding the regulatory programs and applicable Court rules and statutes; is responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail, cash custodian, faxes, and the copying, inventory and filing requirements of the Unit; prepares correspondence, reports, handouts and presentation materials; maintains files of all unit business; and assists in archiving Unit records as required by the records retention schedule. In addition, this position prepares and distributes Unit mailings; prepares travel arrangements, as requested; takes and prepares committee meeting minutes; and sets up meeting room accommodations for large groups and assists in the preparation of material to be presented.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will hold a High School diploma or GED and at least three years administrative assistant experience, preferably in a regulatory, legal or court setting. Proficiency with databases, and Windows-based programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively with applicants, other parties, and committee members. You must be able to organize and prioritize numerous concurrent projects, produce precise and accurate work product in a high volume, high stress environment and work effectively and excel in a team environment.

Travel level: negligible.

SELECTION PROCESS:
