This position manages the Budgets and Program Development Unit in the Juvenile Justice Services Division.  The employee in this position performs highly responsible work overseeing the administration of treatment, diversion, family counseling, and drug court funds for the juvenile courts.  Additionally, this position administers and manages the Juvenile Crime Reduction Fund yearly grant program.  The Program Manager maintains a strong partnership with the Contracts & Monitoring Unit to ensure appropriate use of treatment funds by all counties and, collaborates with all counties in the preparation and execution of budget allocations.  Works in partnership with juvenile court leadership to develop programs and services that align with the Strategic Agenda. 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelorís degree in a related field and at least seven years related experience in Juvenile Justice or juvenile court/probation administration. Directly related experience may substitute for degree requirement. Minimum two years supervisory experience, and proficient understanding of budget principles and procedures. This position also requires the ability to plan, organize and implement programs and project goals that align with the Strategic Agenda, and the ability to identify and collaborate with various groups for the implementation of programs relative to Juvenile Justice and Evidence Based Practices. In addition, this position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of juvenile court/probation department operations and behavioral Health System, as well as other child-serving state agencies. Understanding of instructional design, familiarity with contract procurement, demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time, and the ability to work independently.

Travel level: up to 10% statewide. Must posses a valid divers license.
