POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides business expertise for court-involved child welfare cases, acts as a liaison between the business partners and the data reporting team, and develops and maintains expertise regarding county practices for cases tracked in the juvenile case management systems. This position is responsible for translating business needs through the gathering and definition of report requirements, works with report writers to translate business strategy and goals into requirements for statistical reporting and dashboards, and works collaboratively with the delinquency business analyst, users, and stakeholders to establish, document, and distribute automation process best practices.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proven their ability to perform assigned tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, business administration, or an equivalent or related field. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. At least five years of experience as a Business Analyst or related experience. This position also requires a thorough understanding of the business analyst role on a systems development project and the role of other team members, excellent teamwork skills, proactive, customer-oriented mindset, strong organization skills, great attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Additionally, this position requires the ability to multi-task and manage requirements volatility, integrity, and continuity on a large project, elicit business requirements and categorize, format and present requirements in a document, and quickly learn about new business processes, products and systems.

The preferred candidate will have experience in courts, dependency, probation, corrections, or a related field, anda basic understanding of state government and the courts. The preferred candidate will also have experience using MS Project, Visio, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Travel level: up to 10%
