POSITION SUMMARY:
The Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) Program Specialist III facilitates citizen review boards that review cases of children placed in out-of-home care. This position is responsible for preparing and scheduling assigned cases; providing notice to interested parties; facilitating the exchange of information during each review; writing the professional level recommendation reports for the Court and all interested parties; recruiting potential board members and assisting with their onboarding and coaching. This position will also attend State Board meetings and assist with community outreach and recruitment duties as needed.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining data within the database system, facilitating four to six board meetings per month, schedule assigned cases, coordinate the exchange of information during each case review prepare and distribute the finalized recommendation reports to the court and all interested parties, take statements, and assist supervisors, and program manager with the successful completion of State Board goals. This position will also educate the general public and community group of the purposes and operations of the Foster Care Review Board. As well as develop and implement training for FCRB volunteers and FCRB staff.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in public administration, court administration, social science, or a related field, and two years of experience in a related field, or equivalent. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Arizona laws, policies and procedures pertaining to foster care and the operation of the Foster Care Review Boards, knowledge of the Arizona Department of Economic Security/ Department of Child Safety policies and procedures, as well as group dynamics and group facilitation techniques. This position requires the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional and lay people associated with the justice system and foster care, lead projects and implement project management techniques, multitask various duties, special assignments, and last-minute changes, and professionally facilitate a board. Additionally, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication, extensive attention to detail, and must be highly organized.
