HIRING SALARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Specialist I will be responsible for the facilitation of at least one, but up to two boards following the mandated review process outlined by state statute and program policy. In addition, this position will help with quality assurance, data integrity, and reporting as directed by the Program Manager. This position will act as a lead training assistant for new Administrative II staff and a backup to the Administrative Assistant III who are responsible for secretarial work associated with the Foster Care Review Board Program (FCRB), including data entry, copying, filing, typing, and extensive public phone contact.

This position will also communicate with DCS Case Managers, ensure FCRB recommendation reports are distributed, review and correct FCRB Findings and Recommendations, and recruit screen and recommend new members to serve on boards and ensure proper training

After an initial period of at least three months in person, this position may offer the ability to work remotely up to two days per week, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires training and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in public administration, court administration, social science or a related field. The ability to maintain confidentiality, manage work assignments with a flexible demeanor, and work successfully with a wide variety of professionals and lay people associated with the justice system and foster care. This position also requires extensive attention to detail, organization skills, and considerable knowledge of English, grammar and punctuation skills.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of Arizona laws, policies and procedures pertaining to foster care and the operation of the Foster Care Review Boards, the Department of Child Safety, and Juvenile Courts.

Travel level: up to ____% within the state. Valid divers license required.

SELECTION PROCESS:

This is a Regular Full-time, non-exempt position.
