EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for coordinating enhancements for pretrial services in all courts of Arizona and will work with stakeholders at all levels to implement assessments and advance evidence-based pretrial practices in the courts and probation departments. In coordination with Adult Probation Services Department’s treatment court team, this position will also be responsible for coordinating implementation, evidence-based recommendations and training related to the operation of specialty/treatment courts within Arizona’s Limited Jurisdiction Courts.

Additionally, this position will assist in developing performance criteria and measures for specialty court and pretrial program activity, research and develop grant proposals and requests to fund specialty court programs, offer specialty court programs guidance and review, and provide technical assistance and management support to courts and probation departments.

This position may offer a hybrid work schedule, based on the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, counseling, social work, psychology or a related field. At least five years’ experience working in a court, including three years as a Court or Probation Administrator, Manager, or Executive Assistant, or five years’ experience working in an administrative office of a court. Also, at least 3 years’ experience working in a specialty/treatment court and/or pretrial.

The successful candidate will have general knowledge of the Arizona courts, pretrial, probation, and criminal justice system and thorough knowledge of programs, general policies, and procedures of probation departments. The candidate will also have knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes, Rules of Criminal Procedure and Arizona Judicial Code of Administration.

This position also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and exemplary attention to detail, effective project management experience and skills that include working independently, and demonstrated proficiency in various tracking databases, information technology, internet, and Microsoft products.

Travel level: up to 50% within the state of Arizona.

This is a Regular, Full-time, Exempt level position.
