POSITION SUMMARY:
The Court Services Division of the Arizona Supreme Court is seeking a Senior Court Policy Analyst to join our team. This position will produce a wide range of complex projects that involve planning, researching, and analyzing court administration and operations, which result in improving and increasing the efficiency of the court system. The position is responsible for providing staff support to the Committee on the Impact of Domestic Violence and the Courts (CIDVC) and the Commission on Diversity, Equality and Justice (CODEJ), and their related subcommittees. Responsibilities include recommending changes to statutes, rules and procedures relating to domestic violence and diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI).

This Senior Court Policy Analyst will serve as lead staff to coordinate the revision of statewide domestic violence forms and procedures, track domestic violence related legislation, and prepare materials to assist courts with implementation of new or revised legislation. Additionally, coordinates initiatives and priorities aimed to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion in recruiting and training of judicial officers, and court and probation department employees. Monitors and assists in the implementation of goals and strategies identified in the Arizona Judicial Branch Strategic Agenda regarding diversity, equality, and justice.

This position drafts legislation, administrative orders, and rule petitions; serves as faculty in judicial and staff training; and participates in court committees, task forces and work groups as assigned. Also conducts special analytical studies, interprets data and prepares reports, and maintains cooperative working relationships within the criminal justice community and other governmental agencies.

After an initial period of at least three months in person, this position may offer the ability to work remotely up to two days per week, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social science or public administration and an advanced degree in a related field and seven years’ experience in court administration or operations or a related field. relevant experience may substitute for education. Excellent group facilitation skills inclusive of committee development and management, as well as written communication skills. This position also requires demonstrated experience in conducting reviews of court operations or court management consulting which included analyzing problems and documenting recommendations for improvement. The ability to work effectively with judges, court staff and the public and knowledge of management, planning and research principles, methods and techniques.

The preferred candidate with have knowledge in domestic violence and related Arizona laws, rules as well as court policies, procedures, and operations. Be admitted to the Arizona State Bar and be in good standing. Be a Master or Fellow of the Institute for Court Management and have experience in the Arizona in the court system.

Some instate travel required and occasional out of state travel.
